| Misc. Notes |
| Conrad Shuey, was born in central Pennsylvania, whence he migrated to Greensburg, where he passed the remainder of his life on a large farm. He was one of the garrison of Fort Wheeling and narrowly escaped capture by the Indians. He was an active Whig and a member of the Lutheran church. He and his wife were the parents of three children, two of whom survived: John, of whom later; and Catharine. This pioneer ancestor, despite the perils and hardships of his lot, lived to the advanced age of eighty-seven.16 |
