| Came to America from Palatinate on the "Winter Galley" sailing from Rotterdam, and arriving Philadelphia 5 Sept 1738, at age 32.18 Took oath of allegiance to king on 5 Sept 1738. Acquired land in Mountjoy Twp of York Co (now Adams Co) in 1747 or 1748.102 Removed in late 1760's to Huntingdon, now in Huntingdon Co. (then Bedford Co.), Pa.18 Apparently he went there to join his oldest son John who had gone there earlier. Johann Heinrich is said to have died on his son John's farm on Warrior Ridge, which is a few miles northwest of the city of Huntingdon.121 Will filed 2 Apr 1781 and probated 11 Mar 1789.102 Our files contain photocopy (poor) of his will (received from Melba White of Polo IL in 1983).
