He served many times in the Revolution. He and his wife had land in Westmoreland County in 1783.82 Living in Washington Twp, Westmoreland Co, in 1790 census.146
Killed by Indians83 while transporting a wagon of bacon to the Garrison near Reed's Station or Chambers Blockhouse.82 He was shot a short distance south of the old Chambers' Blockhouse on on the road leading from Chambers' to Ft. Hand on Pine Run. He was buried a short distance east of this place in an unmarked grave on the lands of William Chambers and on a rising ground commanding a view of the countryside.84 |
