Came to America in 1872. After a brief time in Chicago, she moved to Blissfield. Had nine children, seven alive at her death. In early December she was stricken with severe illness, heart trouble and Bright's disease. At time of her death she had three sisters in America, and a sister & brother living in Germany.23
In 1900 she reported having had 9 children, 7 still living, and these 6 still at home with their parents: Adnes, Elma, Hattie, Grace, Gertrude, & Clara.30 |
