Came to America in 1630 on the Mary and John with his family and his brother Matthew. They landed in Massachusetts and settled at Dorchester. Moved to Connecticut, perhaps in 1639. He probably settled first in Windsor. He was granted land in Poquonoc in 1642, and though he did not move there immediately, he was there by 1649.63
Perh. the Edward Griswold of Windsor, Conn., who sold land to Praisever Turner bef. 1664 and who had son George & dau. Sarah.23 Another source gives place of death as Killingsworth, Conn. |
