| Came to America with his parents in 1631, and in 1634 settled in Northampton, Massachusetts, where he continued to reside until his death. He was in command of a body of soldiers in the famous Falls fight at Deerfield, Massachusetts, May 18, 1676.100 Of Bradford, Conn., in 1654, and Northampton in 1658 and Northfield by 1685.9 Trumbull reports that he came first to Northampton about 1655.21 |
