Came to America 1634 aboard the Elizabeth with wife and family. In England he lived in the parish of Rattlesden, Suffolk. They embarked from Ipswich, Suffolk, England, on 10 Apr 1643, and arrived at Boston, then went to Watertown, Mass., where he soon became prominent in the town. He was a freeman there by May 1635 and in 1636 he was granted a home lot of 6 acres. In 1637 he moved to Ipswich where he was granted a home lot at the west end of town plus another 40 acres "beyond the North River." He lived in Ipswich the rest of his life.22,63

The Mr. Kimball who was recently head of the Mormon church may be a descendant of this Richard. |
