| In 1630, Thomas French, the eldest son [of Thomas Sr.], sailed with the Winthrop Fleet for New England. Later he was joined by his sisters Alice, Dorcas and Susan. Around 1637, the father, Thomas, came to new England with the rest of the family. Dorcas and Susan worked as maidservants for Governor. Winthrop. Thomas was granted land in Ipswich. The land, 3 acres, was located near the "Reedy Marsh". Thomas died in the year 1639, sometime before November 5.121 | ||||||||||
