Another source has him born 6 Jan.15 Parents (Hendrik Jan Ruesink & Hendrika Berendina Colenbrander) and 3 children (Jan Willem, Berend Hendrik & Engelbertus Hendricus) emigrated to America from De Heurne house number 262a in 1855.10 This family came on the Dutch ship Alexander of Amsterdam at the same time as the family of Jan Willem (b. 1816) Ruesink & Gerharda, arriving in New York 24 Sept 1855. Albany, N.Y., was listed as their intended destination.40

Found in 1870 census of Alto Twp, Fond du Lac Co, Wisc, as H.J. Ruesink w/wife "Beerdinna" & son William (26 yrs, farm laborer), son Hendrik (25 yrs, farm laborer), son Burt (12 yrs, attending school), and dau Angelina (9 yrs).
