Bill, here's an interesting note. How's everything going with you folks. Dad is still active and getting along o.k. in his independent living apartment. He'll be 97 in a couple of weeks. I have had messages from more than 50 people about that webpage!

Greetings,
I found your site and it is terrific. I am researching the Heusinkveld family of Fayette County, IL. I am descended from Hendrika Heusinkveld, the sister of Berent (Bernard) and Gerrit (George) Heusinkveld which are mentioned in your history. Berent and Arent Jan Heusinkveld (John), another brother b.1830 were both married to Berdenah Rexwinkel. Your family history incorrectly mentions that Berdenah married Gerrit after the death of Berent. She actually married John. I have a picture of Berdenah and John if you are interested.
I believe that Berent Heusinkveld and his wife Berdenah Rexwinkel, along with his father Jan Willem Heusinkveld b. 1800 and mother Geertruit Rexwinkel b.1803 were in the original party that came to the US in 1847, settling in Cleveland. They later moved to Fayette County, IL. The rest of their family came to the US in 1858.
I am interested in any other information you may have on the Heusinkveld family name. Also, do you have any information on the Obelink family? My Hendrika Heusinkveld b.1832 was married to Derk Obelink b. 1830. He is the son of Hendrik Jan Obelink b.1779 and Hendrika Wassink b. 1790. They were from the Zelhem, Gelderland, Holland area.

Thanks much

Notes for Aleida (Spouse 1)
She is supposed to have immigrated to America in 1847, arriving in Philadelphia August 9 from Rotterdam on the ship Manchester of Philadelphia, but I don't find this family in the ship records.
