Gusts and Kodelmanns spoke different German dialects--had to speak to each other in High German.22
Had heart trouble in 1920 and later suffered a few years with diabetes. Death due to heart failure.22 She also suffered several strokes, probably all in the 1950s. Was hospitalized a month then in a nursing home 3 months after breaking her hip 28 Aug 1969.10
