Age given as 20 years at confirmation in June 1811 (if that be the same Isaac Shuster--recorded there as Jisac), which would make him born late in 1790 or early in 1791. There were two other Shuster boys confirmed in the same class: Heinrich, age 18 yrs, and Jacob, age 16 yrs.52 This suggests to me that the parents and family moved to Westmoreland Co perhaps two years earlier, perhaps about the same time as the parents of his future wife.
Isaac & Anna had 10 children.26 Perhaps he had a sister Margaretha who was unmarried in 1814 (see baptism of his daughter Sarah).41
... Isaac Shuster, who was born in Westmoreland county, Pennsylvania, in 1788, and died in 1859. He was an industrious and prosperous farmer and a member and deacon of the Evangelical Lutheran church of Greensburg. His wife, whose maiden name was Anna Blose; was born in 1786, died in 1882. and was the mother of ten children, as follows: Elizabeth, married Jacob Shutt; George; John; Sarah, married Christian Huffman; Isaiah; Joseph; Daniel; Ann, married Michael Kepple; William Garrett, mentioned hereafter; Eli: died at the age of eighteen years.16 |
