Came to America from Germany on "Frances & Elizabeth", George Worth master, from Rotterdam, landing at Philadelphia Sept 21, 1742. Settled in Heidelberg Twp, Northampton Co, Pa (now Washington Twp, Lehigh Co). Between the years of 1750 and 1766 he purchased the following tracts of land: Issenberg, Mannheim, Berlin, and Schwabenstadt, totalling 306 acres, all being located in Penn Twp, Northampton County. Conrad was constable of Heidelberg Twp in 1752.

On July 17, 1776, he enlisted in Capt. Michael Kern's Company (3rd Company), First Battalion, Northampton Co. Militia. This battalion was among the first to join Washington in New York and was practically wiped out in the battles of Long Island and Fort Washington. Conrad Blose was killed in the battle of Long Island.88 Family name is sometimes written Bloss91, especially by some of his grandchildren.
