| Misc. Notes |
| Henry Zundel, grandfather of Henry M. Zundel, was married to Mary, a daughter of George A. Eisaman, and lived in Mount Pleasant township. This union was blessed by three children: Albert M.; Caroline (Mrs. Benjamin Bender); Lucinda (Mrs. John P. Baughman, deceased, wife of ex-Mayor John P. Baughman, of Jeannette). In 1846 Henry Zundel met an accident by falling, which caused his death. The care of the children devolved on the mother, who was relieved of their care by relatives. The widow afterwards married Henry Hugus, the celebrated clock-builder, and removed to Clarion county, Pennsylvania. Albert accompanied them, but soon returned to this county.16 Died when he fell from a cherry tree and broke his back.37 He was probably baptized by Rev. Henry Habliston, whose records cannot be found.41 |
