Another source has year of birth as 1816 and date of death as 29 Nov 1895.59 Birth given as 1819 and death as 30 Nov 1896 by Duermyer.18 According to Martha Sober Ashbaugh, Betsy was a weaver. Account books (in 1970s held by the Apollo library) of the Crawford Mill store have records of her buying indigo and selling linen.113
