| On p. 105 of 1893 Lenawee County atlas, a C.H. McKenzie is shown as owning 80 acres ca. one mile east and south of Morenci, 6 acres being in Michigan and 74 acres on the Ohio side of the state line.73 This is in Chesterfield Twp, Fulton Co, Ohio. I believe there once was also a village of Chesterfield, but it no longer exists. Charles was not present for the 25th wedding anniversary photo at his brother Samuel's in 1892.5 The Oak Grove Cemetery records have his name as Hawkins C. McKensie.4 A Charles McKenzie is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery at Morenci. That Charles was born 1854 at Chesterfield, Ohio, and died 11 Apr 1906 at Wauseon, Ohio, of tuberculosis, age 52 yrs.4 | ||||||||||||||
