Emigrated from Aalten (IJzerlo) to America August 1856 with his wife (Everdina Ruesink) & no children.10 Swierenga has them departing from Rotterdam on the ship "George F Patton" and arriving at New York 29 Sep 1856. Also in their party was an infant daughter Janna (perhaps born on the voyage?) plus a sister (Willemina, age 34) and two brothers (Willem, age 24, and Hendrik Jan, age 19) of Arent Jan.40
