F. Passe has year of birth as 1858, year of death as 1880 and place of burial as Evergreen Cemetery in Bemis.1 Another source has marriage date as 1876 and date of death as1882.111 1870 census of Alto, Fond du Lac Co., Wisconsin, lists Betsy with her parents John & Mary Lammers with 4 brothers.82,104 According to 1900 U.S. census for Hamlin Twp, Hamlin Co, SD, she had 10 children all born in SD and all alive in 1900.104

This is probably the Wm. Rusink who appears in the Feb. 1874 "deportment of the pupils of the Intermediate Department of the Brandon School for the month of January." He is included in the "A Division" with Hattie L. Simpson, teacher.124

Some accounts say he was born in 1857. Owned his farm in Castlewood Twp., Hamlin Co., South Dakota. Married twice and raised 15 children. Moved to the Dakota Territory shortly after marrying his first wife in 1876 (or '78?).111 In 1920 he retired and moved from the farm & into Castlewood. For awhile his son William Jr. rented the farm; it later sold to John & Christine Bly, she a daughter of William Sr.'s daughter Zennie.112

"They arrived in Goodwin, S.D., by train [in 1879] and settled on the Hamlin and Deuel county line."112

F.Passe has place of burial as Evergreen Cemetery in Bemis.1 Some sources have date of death as July 1931.104
