| Notes for Hermen Ruesink | ||||||||
| Lived on the farm "Ruesink Jacobshuis." Surname also written Ruesinck.39 =========== From: G.W.Tammel <postbus@tammel.demon.nl> Subject: Jacob Snoejenbosch To: wruesink@prairienet.org Date: Thu, 2 Jan 2003 03:43:07 +0100 Hello Bill, Just read your message from December 9th to Scott Odden on RootsWeb about the ancestors of Theodora Ruesink. I am especially interested in Jacob Snoejenbosch and his wife Grietien Ruesinck as they are among my ancestors. I am a bit surprised that you don't mention the name Willinck. The marriage of Jacob and Grietien is also listed in Dinxperlo. In Dinxperlo Jacob is called Willinck, son of the late Jan Willinck from Aalten. Willinck is a typical Winterswijk name. Perhaps he was a son of Jan Willinck and Gerritien Hendricks, who married in Winterswijk July 9th 1637. You mention 4 children of Herman Reusinck. You don't mention Jan, son of Herman Reusinck from the Heurne, who married November 5th 1671 in Dinxperlo Hermken Schuijrinck (aka te Welscherbroeck), daughter of the late Jan Schuijrinck (aka Gosens) from de Heurne (she remarried in 1701). Neither you mention Berentjen, daughter of Hermen Russinck from Dinxperlo, who had publication of the banns september 1656 in Bredevoort (married in Dinxperlo) Cornelis Willemsen from Aalten, soldier under Capt. Appelthorn (he remarried in 1660). Perhaps Jan and Berentjen are also children of 'our' Herman. In Bredevoort a number of people with the name Ruesinck (or variations of this name) are listed in the pre 1670 period. Do you have any information on them? You mention Ruesink Jacobshuis as the farm were Herman lived. My understanding was that this farm got the name from Herman's son in law, Jacob Snoejenbosch/Willinck/Ruesinck. Are you sure that the farm allready had the name when Herman lived there? Greetings from Dinxperlo, Willy Tammel. | ||||||||
