Notes for Zebediah (Spouse 1)
Of Northampton, Mass., in March 1672. Sold out in Northampton in 1674 and went to Deerfield. Killed with Lothrop.9
Notes for Godfrey (Free) (Spouse 2)
In 1668 he and two other Northampton boys (Benoni Stebbins & James Bennett) attempted to run away to the French. They were aided by an Indian named Quequelaat, but he was caught and punished. Benoni later moved to Deerfield (probably before 1677).21 Probably the ancestor of all of this name in the country. Was in Northampton 1667; bought land in Deerfield 1674.9
